This tool is designed to help reduce the time and effort to customize the applet parameters used by our calculators. By simply selecting colors, fonts and other options - this tool automatically generates the required applet parameters to copy into your calculator pages.
For more information on what the applet parameters do please see Customizing your financial calculators FAQ.
To make use of this tool, choose the fonts and other options you wish to include in your calculator. For the fonts, only changes from the defaults will generate any parameter code. All other options require the specific parameter to be selected (check the box) to generate the code for that item.
Click on the different tabs to change the associated calculator attributes:
- Fonts: Change the fonts
- Colors: Color selections (other than graph colors and border color)
- Graph Colors: Color selections for the graph
- Borders: Border color, width, type and justification of the title
- Report Settings: Special settings that change the generated report. Note that these options do not change the sample calculator
- Common Text: Special settings that change common text used by all calculators. Note that these options do not change the sample
calculator
- Other: Additional options for mortgage term dropdowns, FINRA Rate of Return, Images, calculator title, currency and number formating. Note that these options do not change the sample
calculator
You can view most parameter's impact interactively by clicking the "Sample Calculator" tab. To see the generated HTML Code, click on the 'Generated HTML Code' tab.
Once you have selected all of the parameter options you need for your deployment, you can use the mouse to select the HTML code generated in the 'Generated HTML Code' tab and copy it to the clipboard to paste into your calculator. The easiest way to do this is to press 'Ctrl A' to select all text in the tab, and then 'Ctrl C' to copy it to the clipboard.
You can then paste this code into your calculator's HTML page. Open the calculator's HTML file (such as MortgageLoan.html) in any HTML or text editor. Search for the text <!--CUSTOM PARAMETERS--> and replace this text with your new set of parameters. Save the document and your changes are complete.
If you wish, you can also email us a copy of your generated parameters and your order number and we will insert your settings into your calculator build. This will allow you to have your custom parameters inserted into all of you calculators at once, and they will also be part of any future updates that we send to you. Please email your parameters to us at: .
We will add in your custom parameters and email you a download notice usually within 24 hours.
